Single human diploid cell contains extremely low quantity of genomic DNA (6-7pg), and whole genome amplification (WGA) is usually required to increase the amount of DNA up to ng- or μg-level for any downstream genomic/genetic analyses. The Ampli1 WGA kit was designed to provide optimal amplification from DNA obtained from a single cell, and the well-balanced amplified DNA library can be used for downstream analyses including single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) and copy number aberration (CNA) at single-cell resolution.
